A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Vermont College
of Medicine, I completed two years of pediatric residency training at the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital and the third year at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
in Los Angeles.
After spending many years as a stay-at-home mother, I returned in 2007 to private practice as a part-time, office-based pediatrician in Thousand Oaks, California.
My book, Mothering with Breastfeeding and Maternal Care, discusses the importance of breastfeeding and hands-on maternal care.
The primary point of the book is to defend the needs of young babies and children. Children mature into women and men. Healthy and loving nurturing early in life may not guarantee the well-being of adults. It will, however, provide them with a healthy foundation in life.
